Aims and Scope

The Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research is the official journal of the Izmir Tepecik Education and Research Hospital. Only English articles are considered for publication from 2021. The journal published three times a year. This journal is an international, open access, scientific, peer-reviewed journal in accordance with independent, unbiased, and double-blinded peer-review principles.

The Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research is a peer-reviewed periodical journal that publishes national and international articles which has been started to be published in 1992.

The Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research is devoted to the continuing education of national and international practicing medical doctors, and to provide a forum for social and scientific communication in the field. Studies that emphasize these aims provide the basis for publication, including original articles, case reports, invited reviews, annual meetings' abstracts, and letters to the editor, review of the recently published books, biographies, and social articles.

This journal aims to contribute to science by publishing high quality, peer-reviewed publications of scientific and clinical importance, addressing current issues at both national and international levels, starting debates, and influencing decision-makers worldwide.

The journal's scope is various academic disciplines in medicine.
The journal's target audience includes health care professionals such as academicians, specialists, and residents in different academic disciplines in medicine.

All articles must be submitted to the Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research exclusively with the understanding that they have not been published previously in print or in electronic format, and not under consideration by any other journal or electronic medium for publication. The manuscripts presented at a meeting are accepted in case of the statement of the condition.

The authors are responsible for all statements made in their article.
The Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research is currently indexed in Tubitak / ULAKBIM, EBSCO, Türk Medline, Türkiye Atıf Dizini.
The editorial and publication process of the Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The journal is in conformity with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Author(s) and copyright owner(s) grant access to all users for the articles published in the Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research as free of charge. Articles may be used provided that they are cited.

Open Access Policy is based on rules of Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) By “open access” to [peer-reviewed research literature], we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.

The Anatolian Journal of General Medical Research does not demand any subscription fee, publication fee or similar payment for access to electronic resources.
