Abstract

Transplantation activity, even in the countries who are believed to be advanced in transplantation is not sufficient. The success of the coordination system is inversely related with the awaiting time of the patients in waiting lists for cadaveric donation. In order for this system to be efficient, educated transplant coordinators should be a part of transplantation team in every center and full support should be given to theim by the central administration. The aim of this paper is to determine and set the problems faced by the coordinators in our country and to underline the importance of educated coordinators in the transplantation coordination system.
