Abstract

COVID-19, an infectious disease caused by Coronavirus, is declared as an emergent situation threatening public health on 30th of January 2020 by World Health Organization (WHO); and as a pandemic on 11th of March 2020. Since the declaration of disease, many national and international institutions, associations and respected scientific platforms started to build algorithms, procedural follow ups regarding anesthesiology and reanimation practice which can be applied to patients diagnosed with or suspected of Covid-19. Guidelines are being updated as the information and experience on the virus increases.

In this article, anesthesia and airway management will be discussed in patients who are either non-covid-19, or have suspicion of Covid-19 or diagnosed with Covid-19 going under operation, from pre-operative anesthesia assessment until the transportation after operation.
