Abstract
Introduction: Successfull surgery results of children with congenital heart disease has increased the possibility of encountering those children with various cardiac diseases during anesthetic practices. Those patients whose cardiac anatomical defects are treated palliatively or partially have restricted cardiovascular and pulmonary reserves. During the anesthetic practices, this situation may be seen more distinct.
Case: In this research we present the general anesthesia experience of left cholesteatoma and left tympanomastoidectomy surgery on a sixteen year old male patient with fontan circulation.
Discussion: Preoperative evaluations of children with Fontan circulation must be done detailed in case of possible problems before second surgery. Furthermore, those children must be followed up closely about the factors which may cause the damage of pulmonary flow during the surgery.
