Abstract

Lobular capillary hemangioma (LCH) also called pyogenic granuloma, is a benign vascular tumor that can be seen on the skin and the mucosa of oral cavity. This lesion occurs at all ages mostly at the 3rd and 4th decade and especially in females. Gingiva, lips, tongue and buccal mucosa are the most common sites of mucosal LCH. It is rarely seen in nasal cavity. A 52-year-oId-male admitted in our clinic with nasal bleeding and obstruction is presented. A purple-colored tumoral mass coming from the right nasal cavity was observed in his phsysical and endoscopic examination of the nasal cavity. Manyetic resonance imaging (MRI) yielded 25x20x10 mm. Mass of benign vascular origin located in the anterior of the right nasal cavity with no destruction in the bony structure. The tumor was totally excised by a transnasal endoscopic approach and the histopathological diagnoses was LCH. The case is presented because of the rarity of the intra nasal mucosal localization of the LCH.
