Abstract
The pregnancy in which fetal cystic hygroma and generalised edema were detected by ultrasound was terminated at the instance parent's option and diagnosed as Fetal Edward's Syndrome after postmortem karyotype analysis. As a result, ultrasound is an important tool in determining the termination of pregnancies in which intrauterine fetal hygroma and related malformations detected and it is essential to perform postmortem karyotype analysis to afford genetic counselling to the family.
