Abstract

Age and sex are among the majör physiological factors affecting serum enzyme activities. Accordingly, reference ranges are established for different age and sex groups. In this article, recent studies on some of the common enzymes in pediatric practice are reviewed and differences in pediatric reference ranges of these enzymes from adults are emphasized.
