Abstract

21 patients, who were diagnosed to have liver tumours, underwent examination with color Doppler ultrasound. The wave forms of the blood detected in and around the lesions were evaluated with Doppler analysis. The hepatocelluîar carcinomas and the hepatic metastatic tumours showed characteristic flow patterns in 16 cases. In conclusion, the colour Doppler ultrasound is found to be a useful technique in differential diagnosis of malign and benign liver tumours.
