Abstract

In the present study The values of Na, K, Ca, P, Mg, in resting and stimulated saliva samples obtained from 14 cases, were determined and compared with the values of parotis saliva obtained under the same conditions. According to our findings, it was found a significant increase in sodium and calcium values. While a significant decrease was found in potassium, magnesium and inorganic phosphate values in saliva after stimulation. In comparison of these values with the the parotis secretion values which were obtained under the same conditions, a significant increase in all ionic values of either resting or stimulated saliva except potassium.
