Abstract
Postoperative delirium; is the most common form of postoperative cognitive disorders especially in the elderly groups. In the treatment of acute postoperatif delirium have been used sedative agents like antipsychotics, benzodiazepine derivatives and ?2 receptor antagonists. In this case report, the early recovery period after laparoscopic cholecystectomy approach to a patient in delirium and a successful treatment with dexmedetomidin was presented.
