Abstract

Abdominal pain in the geriatric age group is one of the most complex and time-consuming complaints among the causes of emergency room visits. The freaquency of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm is 4-11%. It is easier to diagnose the presence of pulsatile AAA mass with hypotension, back pain and abdomen for elderly patients, but hypotension does not occur at early stage in most of them. In addition, this classical triad is seen in only 30- 50% of patients. The atypical group of elderly patients can be misdiagnosed in up to 50%. In this case report, we discussed the treatment approach in a 80-year-old woman with colicky abdominal pain for two weeks and different diagnosis at multiple medical institutions.
