Abstract
Postpartum and interval minilaparotomy (28 and 25 cases respectively) laparoscopic ring application (28 cases) and posterior colpotomy (21 cases respectively) were applied to 102 women who had requested voluntary tubal sterilization. The highest technical failure and complication rates were found in the posterior colpotomy group. These results suggest that minilaparotomy that can be performed under local anesthesia is more effective method than laparoscopy for tubal sterilization.
