Abstract
Copper is one of the important trace elements. It has an important role in iron metabolism. In copper deficiency, hypocftromic anemia, neutropenia, osteoporosis like clinic defects can be seen. In copper excess clinical conditions such as Wilson's Disease (Hepatolenticular Degeneration), acute and chronic copper toxicity may arise. Serum copper concentration may increase in pregnant women, using oral contraceptives, Addison's disease, different kinds of cancers, infections, inflammatory events and in endemic goitre.
