Abstract

Two patients, who had a morsel stuck behind sternum accompained with a chest pain and acute dysphagia, were admitted to our emergency unit. They had acute esophageal obstruction and the morsels were taken away by endoscopic means. The two cases presented here clearly show that endoscopic procedures are not destined for elective diagnostic use only.
