Abstract

II9 fractures of the distal end of the radius in II6 patients treated by closed reduction and plaster cast immobilization. In last year the type of fractures were named as Colles, Smith, Barton and Chauffers. Patients who are over 15 years old had evaluated. Each group was evaluated in a different protocol. According to the Gartland and Werley pointing system, 71 percent of the patients had a rating of good or excellent. Complications appeared in eleven cases. As a result, using of this evaluation and treatment protocol we had only four casses with poor results.
