Abstract

Rhinophyma is a benign rare disease which is charactarized by a nodular sebaceous gland growth affecting the distal half of the nose. It causes various aesthetic and functional problems. It is mostly seen in men aged between 45-60. Although the cause is unknown, it is thought to be the last stage of acne rosacea. There are different medical and surgical options for treatment, yet, in cases of rhinophyma where medical treatment is inadequate, surgical treatment is the most preferred method. In this presentation, the clinical features and the medical history of a 70 year old male patient who was diagnosed with rhinophyma and treated with radiofrequency are presented.
