Abstract
In this paper the historical development and advances of clinical neurophysiology is reviewed from the beginig of this century. It is proposed that there is a clear relationship between the social/political events and the developmentbof neurophysological methods (EEG, EMG, EP) and the applicatons of these methods medical practice. The clinical neurophysiology is now a specialty or subspecialty in different European Countries and USA. The Clinical Neurophysiology is also well-developed in our country and it is a full candidate for a specialty in its own way.
