Abstract
Hypertension is an important problem encountered in newborn patients. In this article, we present a premature patient who developed hypertension due to intraventicular hemorrhage. Intraventricular hemorrhage was detected in transfontanel ultrasonography. Furosemide and captopril treatment was started. When the hydrocephalus gradually increased, a ventriculo-subgaleal shunt was inserted by the brain surgery. On follow-up, the patient's blood pressure was normal, and furosemide and captopril treatment was discontinued. After discharge, the patient's blood pressure was observed normal.
