Abstract

Craniospinal radiojtherapy has been applied to 42 patients with medullablastoma ependymoma who referred to Radiotherapy Department of Ege University Medical Faculty from January 1983 until the end of 1990. 30 of them were medullablastoma, and 12 were infratentorial or anaplastic ependymoma. 18 patients were female and 24 were male. The ages were between 2-47. Craniospinal radiotherapy was planned according to CTs. 35 patients had taken chemotherapy. Disease free survival for 3 years in fourteen patients was 78 percent. 11 of 14 patients have been treated with polichemothearpy adding to radiotherapy.
