Abstract

In the present study, resting and stimulated parotis saliva samples obtained from 14 men and women were investigated to determine and compare the sodium, potassium, calcium, inorganic phosphate and magnesium levels. To our findings; after stimulation of parotis secretion there was a statistically significant increase (p<0.01) in calcium and sodium values while there was a statistically significant decrease in potassium, magnesium and inorganic phosphate levels.
