Abstract
AIM: Nasal and paranasal tumors are rarely seen tumors, the malignant forms are very rare. We present our treatment modalities of these tumors that could be diagnosed freqnently in an advanced stage. MATERIAL AND METHOD; We reviewed 72 patients with sinonasal tumor applied to our clinic between 2001 and 2009, retrospectively. FINDINGS: Forty-two (%58.3) patients were male and thirty (% 41.7) were female. The average age of the patients were 50.8 (14-81) years. Inverted papilloma was diagnosed in 26 of these patient, malignant tumor in 19, and benign tumor in 27 of these patients. CONCLUSION: In 19 patients pathology rnalignant, and in 53 patients pathology was benign. We performed 36 medial maxillectomy as the most performed procedures.
