Abstract
Diverticula of the duodenum is a little known clinicopathological condition. Although rare, perforation of a duodenal diverticulum is the most serious complication. There is no guideline about the treatment of perforated duodenal diverticulum in literature, since only case reports and small series were presented Surgical approach is accepted as the preferred method for the treatment. On the other hand, the recent treatments of selected cases with bowel rest, nasogastric tube and, antibiotherapy have been encouraging. In this article, we discuss a case treated with endoscopic stent in the light of related literature.
