Abstract
A patient with a nonfunctional right kidney and a stone in the left ureteropelvic junction causing acute obstruction was observed to produce profuse urine (30.2 lt. per day) through the nephrostomy canula. Urine production rate was very close to the glomerular filtration rate. But high volumes for fluid replacement may result in prolonged and excessive diuresis.
