Abstract

Ruptured omphalocele is a congenital anterior abdominal wall defect, that must be closed urgently. In such cases, covering the protruding intraabdominal organs by using abdominal skin flaps (Gross operation) is one of the operative methods that can be carried out. But in some large defects it can not be possible to cover intraaabdominal organs entirely or can be carried out only by stretched skin flaps. In such cases, releasing insicions in four abdominal quadrants can be used. In this article, two ruptured omphalocele cases, which we have used releasing incisions are presented.
