Abstract

Aim: Laparoscopic surgery has been increasingly performing in our country. We aimed to discuss our results in our laparoscopic surgery and anesthetic management during two years period. Material and Method: All patients underwent laparascopic surgery in our clinic from January 2010 to December 2011 enrolled in this study. Peroperative and postoperative results were reviewed retrospectively for all patients. Patients demographic data, operations, duration of surgery, ASA classification, anesthesia methods were all evaluated. Findings: In our clinic, since January 2010 to December 2011, 305 patients had been operated. While 64 % of all patients were ASA I, 20 % of them ASA II, 13.7 % of all patients ASA III and one patients ASA IV. The most common surgical procedure were laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hernia repair. The use type of anesthesia was general anesthesia. Conclusion: Thanks to advances in surgery and anesthesiology, a lot of anesthesia techniques could be performed safely with proper patient and anesthesiologic techniques selections in laparoscopic surgery.
