Abstract

In this study, we evaluated the relationship between peer review and delayed publishing in 48 paper which admitted to our journal in last two years. Editorial-reply period was 103 days on average. peer reviewer-reply period was 26 days on average. Author's reply was 54 days on avarage. So the complete publishing-process took 11.7 months on average. So the compiete pubiishing-process took 11.7 months on average. These results show that the peer review period of a paper is less than 50 percent of overall publishing process is the main cause of delayed publishing in our journal.
