Abstract

Suicidal behavior, that is studied thoroughly in developed countries as an important public health problem, has started to call attention in our country, nowadays. In this paper, 118 patients with suicidal behavior who were referred to SSK Tepecik Hospital during the year 1991 were investigated and it was observed that suicidal behavior is more prevalent in females, unmarried persons adolescents, and people of low educational and socioeconomic status.
