Abstract

Ischemia of testis caused by twisting of spermatic cord around itself is defined as testicular torsion. This is a scrotal emergency. Torsion is more common in chilhood and early twenties. The salvage ratio of the testis after detorsion is better in childhood. A forty years old male with testicular torsion whose testis is saved after surgical detorsion.
