Abstract

We began to publish the first issue of our journal on March 1991. During the first 5 years, 10 issues have been published, covering 197 scientific writing in a total of 844 pages. Papers can be divided into three groups: Clinical Practices (70), Case reports (54) and review articles (27). The special type of papers, like scientific letters (13), editorial comments (7) and discussion (4), represented an important group which is seen rarely in domestic medical journals. 18 of 27 review articles have been requested by editör from an author who is expert in her/ his field. In 5 years, 674 report from the peer reviewers for 271 admitted papers were taken. 133 of 271 papers (49.1%) have been accepted for publishing. 415 of peer reviewers (61.6%) were outside of our institution, and 259 (38.4%) of them were interior reviewers.
