Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Our aim in this study is to detect the level of dependency of caregivers and treaters of emergency departments to an organization and to investigate the difference between the employees of different hospitals.

METHODS

In Izmir city centre at three different hospitals' emergency department; a questionnaire was applied to all of the caregivers and treaters of at the between in March 2013- June 2013. (Tepecik Training and Research hospital, Dokuz eylül university hospital and Private Medical park hospital) the first part of the questionnaire consisted of questions about participants' demographic properties and the second part was the scale of organization dependency improved by Allen-

Meyer.

RESULTS

In the hospitals mentioned above, 74(77%) of 96 caregivers and treaters were able to reach and apply the questionnaire. In our study; the average of organization dependency was found to be as 3.14 in Medical Park Hospital which

is a private hospital; 2.51 in Tepecik Training and Research Hospital and 2.69 in Dokuz Eylül University Hospital employees. Organization dependency, was found to be significantly different institutionally (p<0.05). No significance was found by dependency of continuation between institutions (p=0.163).

The level of dependency to an organization of caregivers and treaters are found to below, this issue has to be evaluated by the directors and supervisors carefully
