Abstract

Our library in our 1000- bed teaching hospital showed a good development in recent 3 and a half years. Cartotexing, medline systems, are important advances. The annual fund for buying of the new books and periodicals is sent by central budget maintained over offical inflation rate. Our library kept subscriptions of 27 foreign and 38 dometic medical journals, during 1995. 106 domestic journals were taken without payement, at the same year. The number of newly published books (after 1990) has greatly increased. The total number of books and periodicals was 7552 until 1992. These number increased into 11.354 (50.3%) on June 31,1996.
