Abstract

In this clinical study, we have studied the relationship between microalbuminuria and plasma fibronectin levels in the hypertensive study and normotensive control groups. Hypertensive group had 38 patients and control group had 19 patients. Microalbuminuria values were 21.96+5.18mg/L for hypertensive group and 6.54+ 2.43mg/L for normotensive group (p<0.05). In the study group very significant statistical relation between microalbuminuria and fibronectin values(r=0.497) was obtained (vvhich indicated a p value smaller than 0.001) while on the contrary no relation (p> 0.05) was observed in the control group.
