Abstract

Risk factors of ischeamic cerebrovascular disease are studied in 300 cerebral infarct cases that were hospitalized in 1989-1990 period in Izmir State Hospital. Differential diagnosis is based on CT. Age, alcohol habit, diabet, high blood pressure, cardiac and vascular disease, obesity, total serum cholesterol and pre-beta lipoprotein and hematocrit values are found to be significant. Sex, smoking, total lipid on triglicerid, alfa and beta lipoprotein values are not significant as a risk factor.
