Abstract

At the present study, the correlation between preoperative ultrasound findings and postoperative pathologic findings were investigated in 130 patients who underwent exploratory laparotomy because of adnexal mass at department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ondokuzmayıs. There was no significant difference in Chi-square analysis of accuracy between ultrasonography and laparotomy findings in detection, estimation of echogenity, size, localisation of tumor and fluid in Douglas and ascites.
