Abstract
Three hundred thirty-seven patients with upper respiratory tract infection between the ages of 4-14 years were admitted to Social Security Tepecik Teaching Hospital Pediatric Clinics during the period of February 1990 - November 1990 of these 237 laboratory confirmed cases of Group A beta-hemolytic streptococcal upper respiratory tract infections were treated with 4 different penicilline derivates in 5 different treatment groups. It was shown that there were no statistical difference between the treatment groups both in the acute phase treatment and the bacterial eradications.
